Mia arrived wearing an authentic international Swedish hockey jersey, not only is Mia a TREMENDOUS NHL fan, she recently was struck by a puck while attending last season’s game 4 of the NHL Eastern Conference Final( the incident would require a plastic surgeon’s care and that’s where I came in). Mia was there to root for her Washington Capitals ( FYI: to say Mia is a HUGE Caps fan is a vast understatement).
In was in this game 4 vs. the Tampa Bay Lightning when symmetry struck. Or an errant slap shot did, right into Mia. She said that the impact of the frozen vulcanized rubber was so strong as the errant slapper hit her, that she thought she had been shot!
